Description: In this one-hour workshop, we’ll make physics fun with kid-friendly demonstrations and explanations of physics concepts like pressure, waves, magnetism, electricity, and more. We’ll learn why whips crack, watch the release of pressure send a container flying, play with water-filled glasses to produce sounds, and whatever else we can squeeze into an hour. We’ve got lots of demonstrations, so if you’ve been to this workshop before, there’s a good chance you’ll still have lots to learn!
Accompanying each demonstration will be a handout explaining the concepts involved for a range of audiences - starting with elementary school students and ending with college students, so folks of any age can learn something new.
